The mission of the 14 Days Project is to provide a greater awareness of the global community through the unique marriage of extraordinary film and photography; allowing everybody to develop their own ideas for creating lasting and meaningful change. Building a bridge to the world around us by listening to others tell their own story. The result. Connection. Connection of people from around the world, all over the world, and forever.

Last night's journey was frightening with torrential rain and dangerous driving conditions. It's early. By dawn the wind has whipped itself into a greater fury. The weather unfortunately is not co-operating. Waking to the steady, constant sound of rain plopping on the roof of the RV. Lie awake, listening to the changing pitch of an orchestra as light rain turns to a torrential downpour. Thinking of the days ahead. Our vehicle finally comes to a stop after a series of maneuvers. I am disturbed by the fatigue of the crew. I am suffering from some type of motion sickness, a concern quite frankly. Exiting the production vehicle to the sound of generators, which provide cool air and some comfort to the vehicles inhabitants. I step onto a flooded pavement and my head is immediately pummeled by unforgiving rain. Struggling to the opposite street corner for cover, I am soaked to the skin and begin to shiver. Now and then there are gusts so strong that I feel my ears peeling back. They echo like a seashell.
'Will it ever stop?' I murmur to myself.
There is no sign of life anywhere. Chris appears from across the road having surveyed our venue.
'They are exhausted' I said shaking my head.
'Then what do you want to do' Chris retorts.
'Leave them to sleep, they deserve it'
'Good idea'
Chris's eyes light up.
'I have to interview you right now, this is too good to miss!'
He runs back to the caravan and hauls two large boxes back to my position on the corner of the street. On his second pass a tripod travels pass me with inches to spare. Now he is soaked to the skin as the rain pelts down with increasing strength. We both look at each other and smile
Journals Home : Previous Day : Next DayIn loving memory - Ben Pritchard
We are so very sad to announce that our beloved friend and colleague Ben Pritchard left us recently. Farewell to a dear and sweet man who touched our lives so deeply. Our heartfelt condolences goes out to his family and friends. His passing is not his end; he lives on in all our hearts and will always be an extraordinary part of this project called 14 Days.
This wonderful project and its beautiful imagery both in stills and film is dedicated to Ben who was intrinsic to its success. We had the honor of spending time with you but it was not nearly enough.
"Your brilliance and passion for life will be missed by us all"

Memorial for Ben Pritchard
We recognize the effort and travail that creating worthwhile films requires; we recognize the talent and hard work that characterized Ben Pritchard. Through unsurpassed dedication and effort, Ben earned the respect of everyone with whom he worked. Though he traveled the road fame and fortune for only a short time, the promise of this young, energetic, and talented man was clear to all who knew him. Ben’s contribution to the two 14 Days documentaries is etched in the memories of everyone who worked with him. As a colleague of ours in the Mad Brit film organization, we honor him.
We celebrate his life,
Donn Finn, Rocky Lang, and Sam Smiley
To My Lillie
To be awaken and find
The sunrise in your eyes
Sets me off to new heights
I've never known
A love so true
To be with you, in sweet solitude.
Your David Forever.
