The mission of the 14 Days Project is to provide a greater awareness of the global community through the unique marriage of extraordinary film and photography; allowing everybody to develop their own ideas for creating lasting and meaningful change. Building a bridge to the world around us by listening to others tell their own story. The result. Connection. Connection of people from around the world, all over the world, and forever.
Currently in production. A promotion documentary, "14 Days - The Human Bridge" (Working Title only) is to be produced on the Mexico/US Border during March 2007. This is to be produced ahead of a full documentary production scheduled for June 2007. From the position of a production model, it is a unique piece of filming making ahead of a full 70-minute program and companion feature length theatrical documentary, "14 Days" has numerous groundbreaking elements in its development and production.
Shooting in HD on the Panasonic Varicam, the footage will be breathtaking in its immediacy and emotion. The entire vision of the full-length film will draw the viewer into the moment, and lives of the characters both sides of this electric border. It will be shot at a cinematic level with results that feels at many times like a hybrid between drama and documentary. Each day in the full length documentary will be thematically driven defining a journey of enlightenment along the entire Mexico/US border taking in lives and environment exploring the simplicities of life and beauty. The camera teams will be embedded in all elements of life both sides of the border from the personal lives of people in both countries to the intracies of the sheer need to protect both human life and security. It will explore the human position that exists as people stare at each other across an emerging wall dividing culture and connection. The filming will follow people, stories, conflict and endurance in the light of hardship and self-preservation. From interviews and true exploration of the human spirit with people in trucks making there way to the border, time with ranch people both sides of the border and officials who look into each others soul for understanding and compassion. Cinematic filming of beautiful canyons and wilderness will support the material proving a real conflict between human fear and the beauty that surrounds them. It will define the true position of a post 9/11 world that divides common people in their plight for an ordinary life. The project will be independently financed with total editorial and creative control over all aspects of the material. The documentary will break many molds and cause a Pandora box to open in the light of an emerging barrier that unknowingly divides people and environment. More information toll free 866 687 3686.

The Face of Freedom - 14 Days (in-progress) documentary screened at the Alamogordo
Film Festival
Reviews: Alamogordo New Mexico March 2005 - Everyone was left wanting more of "Fourteen Days in America", and wondering when they would be able to purchase a DVD. The audience was thrilled because, for all practical purposes, they were starring in the documentary. Everyone felt connected, knowing that they and their Alamogordo neighbors had been part of the process.
"Fourteen Days in America" can best be described as "moving". The individual interviews on screen are put together in a way that draws you in to the story of contemporaryAmerica. This impressive collection of people shows many types of folks. Most of them might never have had their voices heard if David Gibbons hadn't asked. The characters deliver home-spun wisdom and wacky random thoughts. The documentary is impressive in the way it draws out the real personality of those interviewed. At the end of the day, David Gibbons will have a superb documentary which will help all of us to better understand our neighbors and ourselves.

In loving memory - Ben Pritchard
We are so very sad to announce that our beloved friend and colleague Ben Pritchard left us recently. Farewell to a dear and sweet man who touched our lives so deeply. Our heartfelt condolences goes out to his family and friends. His passing is not his end; he lives on in all our hearts and will always be an extraordinary part of this project called 14 Days.
This wonderful project and its beautiful imagery both in stills and film is dedicated to Ben who was intrinsic to its success. We had the honor of spending time with you but it was not nearly enough.
"Your brilliance and passion for life will be missed by us all"
David William Gibbons, Richard Knapp, Dana Hursey - June 2007
Memorial for Ben Pritchard
We recognize the effort and travail that creating worthwhile films requires; we recognize the talent and hard work that characterized Ben Pritchard. Through unsurpassed dedication and effort, Ben earned the respect of everyone with whom he worked. Though he traveled the road fame and fortune for only a short time, the promise of this young, energetic, and talented man was clear to all who knew him. Ben’s contribution to the two 14 Days documentaries is etched in the memories of everyone who worked with him. As a colleague of ours in the Mad Brit film organization, we honor him.
We celebrate his life,
Donn Finn, Rocky Lang, and Sam Smiley

To My Lillie
To be awaken and find
The sunrise in your eyes
Sets me off to new heights
I've never known
A love so true
To be with you, in sweet solitude.
